According to a recent story that ran in the respected Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper out of Wisconsin,
Computers, cellular phones, ipods and the like have been forcing their way onto more shopping lists, thanks at least partially by a constant barrage of media marketing telling adults that their kids require their very own laptops
and other gizmo's. However, your kid does not need his or her own cellular phone. It is possible to survive without one. In addition, the long term effects of the microwave signals that will be bouncing off Junior's
brain are not yet fully known. it also may be more experience than you perhaps fully realize. more internet and technology news over at at

Adults may shell out literally hundreds of dollars on a monthly phone bill just because their kid sends many redundant text messages and goofs around on the phone a lot with meaningless chatter.
If you have provided your kid with a cellular phone and he or she runs up the bill with an abundance of inane calls, then by all means feel free to take that thing away. it is your right to do so.
Futhermore, your kid does not require world wide web access in their bedroom. With all of the talk in recent years about the hazards of releasing personal data over the web, the suggestion that
computers be in a central location of the home which is easily superviseable has been largely overlooked, unfortunately.
While we of course wish to provide our kids with opportunities that we did not have, let us not give them an abundance of things they really do not require and would actually be quite better off without.
Just a thought from somewone who uses technology also.
